DOPO

Flame retardant, a functional additive that imparts flame retardancy to flammable polymers, mainly for flame retardant design of polymer materials; there are many types of flame retardants, which are classified into additive flame retardants and reactions according to the method of use. Type flame retardant.

The added flame retardant is added to the polymer by a mechanical mixing method to make the polymer flame retardant. Currently, the added flame retardant mainly has an organic flame retardant and an inorganic flame retardant, and a halogen flame retardant (organic Chloride and organic bromide) and non-halogen. Organic is a flame retardant represented by bromine, phosphorus and nitrogen, nitrogen and red phosphorus and compounds. The inorganic is mainly flame retardant systems such as antimony trioxide, magnesium hydroxide, aluminum hydroxide and silicon.

The reactive flame retardant participates in the polymerization reaction as a monomer, so that the polymer itself contains a flame retardant component, which has the advantages of less influence on the performance of the polymer material and long-lasting flame retardancy.
DOPO is a new flame retardant intermediate. It has a PH bond in its structure and is highly active on olefins, epoxy bonds and carbonyl groups, and can react to form many derivatives.

Performance and Uses

DOPO is a new flame retardant intermediate. It has a PH bond in its structure and is highly active on olefins, epoxy bonds and carbonyl groups, and can react to form many derivatives. DOPO and its derivatives are introduced by the biphenyl ring and phenanthrene ring structure in the molecular structure, especially the side phosphorus group is introduced in the form of a cyclic O=PO bond, which is more stable and chemical than the general, uncyclic organic phosphate. High stability and better flame retardant performance. DOPO and its derivatives can be used as reactive and additive flame retardants. The synthetic flame retardants are halogen-free, smoke-free, non-toxic, non-migrating, and have long-lasting flame retardant properties. It can be used for flame retardant treatment of various polymer materials such as linear polyester, polyamide, epoxy resin and polyurethane. It has been widely used in foreign countries for the flame retardant of plastics for electronic equipment, copper-lined laminates, circuit boards and other materials.

1. Reactive flame retardant for epoxy resin

DOP reacts with epichlorohydrin and then reacts with hydroquinone. In particular, epoxy resin is used as electrical insulating material. The sealing material used in semiconductor materials requires electrical insulation, low volatility, low pollution, and ABS. The compatibility is added to form a flame retardant transparent plastic.

2, coloring inhibitor

ABS, AS, PP, PS, epoxy resin, phenolic resin, alkyd resin, coloring caused by heat of surfactant, coloration of polyurethane by light and heat, and addition of DOP can prevent coloration.
